Wild Swimming - Kailpot Adventure, Ullswater

Family Open Water Swimming

Session: 2 hours total time (including boat trip and two swims)

Minimum age: 10 years old (must be with an adult)

This trip starts with a boat journey from Another Place - The Lake, Hotel then we travel up the lake to Kailpot Crag at the foot of Hallin Fell. 

We will moor the boat in a quiet bay on the Southern shore of Ullswater. There's then a short walk to the start of the first swim from a rocky beach. The first swim (approx. 500m) will take us around the shoreline with high rocks and stunning views back to the boat. After soaking up the view you'll jump off the rocks back into the lake for the second swim around Kailpot Crag. There is an option of a higher jump into the water during this trip. Once we are out of the water, we will follow the Ullswater Way for a few hundred metres back to the boat for a ride back to the jetty at Another Place - The Lake.
